Beata Marek – IT&IP Lawyer , Cyberlaw.pl

Beata Marek is the owner of Cyberlaw and work coordinator of the Cyberlaw team.

Her fields of expertise encompass the following: IT law, IP law, personal data and legal secret protection and law of contracts in national and international transactions.

She has had over four-year experience in cases concerning cybercrime, cyberthreats and information security.

She provides a wide range of services, in particular risk estimation (legal compliance) and legal assistance in projects and for TMT companies.

She was an editor-in-chief of the journal „ICT Law Review” and she is a creator of a blog for entrepreneurs and programmers – cyberlaw.pl.

She is also a legal director of ISSA Poland (ISSA is an association for information networks security), a vice-president of Cloud Security Alliance Poland, a Member of the foundation Secure Cyberspace and International Cyber Threat Task Force.

She has participated and coordinated numerous projects, delivered presentations during conferences and trainings. She has also written several papers on new technologies, including interviews with GIODO, General Personal Data Inspector in Poland.

She worked collaboratively with Polish Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Culture and National Heritage and the Berkman Center for Internet&Society at Harvard University.
